Who we are. ReadAndReset.com is an independent website operated from Ukraine, and is the data controller for personal data processed on this site. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@readandreset.com.
What we collect
- Account information — if you sign in (e.g. with Google), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture to create and identify your account.
- Activity on the site — your chosen team, XP, streaks, game results, and any captions or comments you submit.
- Usage and device data — basic analytics such as pages visited, approximate region, browser/device type, collected to keep the site working and improve it.
- Cookies and similar technologies — used for sign-in, preferences (language, light/dark theme), analytics, and advertising.
How we use it
To run your account and the games, save your progress, display leaderboards and community content, keep the site secure, measure and improve performance, and show ads that keep the site free.
For visitors in the EEA and UK, our legal bases are: your consent (advertising and analytics cookies), performance of a contract (your account and its features), and our legitimate interest (keeping the site secure and working).
Cookies
- Essential — sign-in and session, your language, and your light/dark theme choice. Always on; the site can’t work without them.
- Analytics — we use Vercel Analytics, a cookieless service that gives us aggregated page statistics without tracking you across sites.
- Advertising — Google AdSense, which may use cookies to serve ads; these may be personalized or non-personalized.
Visitors in the EEA and UK are shown a consent banner before any advertising cookies are set, and can change their choice at any time via the “Privacy settings” link in the site footer.
Third-party services
We rely on trusted providers that may process some data on our behalf:
- Google — sign-in with Google, and advertising via Google AdSense (cookies for serving and personalizing ads).
- Supabase — our database, authentication, and storage; holds account and activity data.
- Vercel — website hosting and the cookieless Vercel Analytics.
- Resend — sends the sign-in (magic link) emails to your address.
- MailerLite — delivers the newsletter, only if you subscribe.

User-submitted content
Captions, comments, and similar contributions are public and visible to other users along with your display name. Please don’t share private information in them.
Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can delete your account by contacting hello@readandreset.com. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect sign-in and preferences. Depending on where you live (including the EU), you may have additional rights under applicable data-protection law.
Data retention
We keep account and activity data while your account is active and delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period after account deletion, except where we must keep it for legal reasons.
Children
ReadAndReset is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, note it on the site.
